Our Story
A Blizzard in the City
And a Prayer
New York City was buried in snow the night we met in 2022. Paola had only been in the city four months; Christian had just moved back from Austin — and somehow they both ended up at Fiddlesticks in the West Village. Within minutes, the conversation turned to faith. Paola likes to joke that she’d been praying for a good Christian man, and God decided to take her literally. By the end of the night, trudging back through the snow, they already knew — this was the start of something beautiful.

The Venue
The Line Hotel sits in a beautifully restored 1914 church in Adams Morgan. Dinner, vows, and dancing all happen under the same roof.
Dress Code
Black tie optional. Tuxedos and floor-length gowns are perfect. Deep jewel tones and bordeaux feel right at home with the venue — but wear what makes you feel confident and ready to party.
Getting There
The hotel is a short walk from the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station. Valet is available at the hotel. More information in the Travel section.

By Air
Reagan National (DCA) is 15 minutes from the hotel by cab. Dulles International (IAD) is about 45 minutes. Both work but DCA is closer.
By Train
Washington Union Station (WAS) is a short cab ride from Adams Morgan and an easy choice from anywhere on the Northeast Corridor.
Where to Stay
The Line is the venue so staying there is the simplest call. The added bonus is that is where Christian and I will be the whole weekend.

We adore your kids, but this celebration is adults-only — please note it's 21 and over. Consider it a night off, on us.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Your invitation lists everyone who's saved a seat. If a name's on a card, they're with us — and if it isn't, we hope you'll understand.
Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?
Yes. Everything happens at The Line Hotel.
Is there parking?
Yes — valet parking is available.
